Maurizio Conti
Founder
Maurizio Conti has been a pioneer in the technology integration industry for 35 years, and founded HTE, now Officina Acustica, in 2005 as a response to his frustrations around how private cinemas were constructed at the time.
Maurizio brings a level of Italian design flair, engineering innovation and true craftsmanship to every Officina Acustica system he builds.
Maurizio is based in Italy.
Peter Aylett
Partner
Peter Aylett is 30 year veteran of the industry and is extremely well known professionally amongst his peers as a mentor, teacher and lecturer on all things technology within the home.
Perer is the recipient of CEDIA’s 2022 Fellowship for his career long contributions to the success of CEDIA and the industry. He has been teaching on behalf of CEDIA for over 20 years and has served a term on CEDIA’s Global Board of Directors.
Currently Chair of the CEDIA/CTA R10 Standards Committee, Peter is driving a standards based approach for the industry.
With Maurizio and a team of other global experts, he is currently chairing the effort to write the CEDIA/CTA recommended practice for high performance audio design within private environments.
Peter is based in The UK.

Maurizio and Peter have over 75 years experience between them providing the worlds finest entertainment spaces. They are immersed and peer-reviewed in the world of private cinema design, construction and calibration. Officina Acustica not only embraces industry standards, but is a core part of collaboratively writing them. How we work
Building a high performance entertainment space, private cinema, screening room or commercial mastering studio has traditionally required many different suppliers, consultants and trades to come together. Officina Acustica is different. Because Officina Acustica is a complete an holistic system that is pre-manufactured in Italy and then fitted, rather than built from scratch on site, we remove the complexity, unpredictability and coordination issues inherent in the old ways of building these amazing spaces.
